Ο Στέφανος Χαραλάμπους είναι ασκούμενος δικηγόρος με ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον στο δίκαιο ενέργειας, στο διεθνές και ευρωπαϊκό δίκαιο, καθώς και στο δίκαιο ανταγωνισμού, το ευρωπαϊκό εμπορικό δίκαιο και το εταιρικό δίκαιο.

Ο Στέφανος είναι μέλος του Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY από το 2020. Είναι απόφοιτος του Τμήματος Νομικής του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου (ΠΚ) (2019-2023), όπου ίδρυσε τον Όμιλο Ηνωμένων Εθνών και Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης (2020) διατελώντας καθήκοντα Προέδρου (2020-2023), καθώς ίδρυσε επίσης τη διεθνή προσομοίωση University of Cyprus Model United Nations (UCYMUN) στην οποία διατελούσε καθήκοντα Γενικού Γραμματέα (2021-2023).

Από νεαρή ηλικία έδειξε ενδιαφέρον για τα κοινά, τη συμμετοχή των νέων στα κέντρα λήψης αποφάσεων, καθώς και τις διεθνείς σχέσεις και τη διπλωματία. Η αγάπη του για αυτά τον οδήγησαν στη συμμετοχή πέραν των 20 διεθνών και εγχώριων συνεδρίων, καθώς και την αντιπροσώπευση της Κύπρου στο εξωτερικό. Μεταξύ άλλων, διετέλεσε Φοιτητής-Πρεσβευτής του ΠΚ (2021-2023) μετά από πρόταση που του είχε γίνει από το Τμήμα Νομικής και το Γραφείο Διεθνών Σχέσεων του ΠΚ, Πρεσβευτής EU Careers (2022-2023) μετά από πρόταση από το Κέντρο Σταδιοδρομίας του ΠΚ και της EPSO, ενώ είναι μέχρι σήμερα UN Youth Champion for Environment and Peace (2022-σήμερα). Το 2022 επιλέγηκε από την Αμερικανική Πρεσβεία στην Κύπρο ως ο Νεαρός Ηγέτης της Κύπρου για συμμετοχή στο διεθνές πρόγραμμα Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) forStudent Leaders from Europe που έλαβε χώρα Michigan StateUniversity στην πολιτεία του Μίσιγκαν και στην πρωτεύουσα των Η.Π.Α Ουάσιγκντον D.C. Έκτοτε είναι alumni του U.S. Department of State (2022-σήμερα).

Πιστεύει πως έχει ακόμη πολλά να προσφέρει στους νέους και νέες της Κύπρου και ευελπιστεί ότι θα καταφέρει να σταθεί στο ύψος των υποχρεώσεων του ως Υπεύθυνος Εκδηλώσεων.

Stefanos Charalampous is a trainee lawyer and has a special interest in energy law, international and EU law, competition law, EU business law με and company law.

Stefanos Charalampous has been a member of Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY since 2020. He is a graduate of the Department of Law of the University of Cyprus (UCY) (2019-2023), where he founded the University of Cyprus United Nations and European Union Club (2020) where he served as the President of the Club (2020-2023). He is also the founder of the University of Cyprus Model United Nations (UCYMUN) where he served as the Secretary-General (2021-2023).

From a young age he showed particular interest in public affairs, youth participation, international affairs and diplomacy. His love for the aforementioned led him to participate in over 20 international and national conferences, while he also represented Cyprus abroad. He has also served as a Student Ambassador of UCY (2021-2023) after his nomination from the Department of Law and the International Services Office of UCY, EPSO EU Careers Ambassador (2022-2023) following a nomination from the Career Center of UCY and EPSO, while he is also a UN Youth Champion for Environment and Peace (2022-present). In 2022 he was selected by the U.S. Embassy in Cyprus as a Youth Leader of Cyprus and represented Cyprus in the international program of Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) for Student Leaders from Europe which took place in Michigan State University in Michigan and the capital of the U.S.A, Washington D.C. He is an alumni of the U.S. Department of State (2022-present).

He believes that he is capable of contributing to the youth of Cyprus and hopes that he will be able to live up to his obligations as Events Officer.

Kωνσταντίνα Κατσαντώνη/Constantina Katsantoni 

Ονομάζομαι Κωνσταντίνα Κατσαντώνη και είμαι νομικός, απόφοιτη του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού διπλώματος στην Εγκληματολογία και τις κοινωνικές και νομικές σπουδές από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Μάντσεστερ. Αυτη την περίοδο εργάζομαι σε ένα μη κυβερνητικό οργανισμό για τους πρόσφυγες, ενώ παράλληλα φοιτώ στο μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα νομικής του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου, με κατεύθυνση το Ευρωπαϊκό δημόσιο δίκαιο και τα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα. Είμαι μέλος του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου του Cyprus Youth Diplomacy εδώ και δύο χρόνια. Στην προηγούμενη θητεία υπηρέτησα ως υπεύθυνη νομικών θεμάτων, ενώ στην τωρινή βρίσκομαι με την ιδιότητα της υπεύθυνης εκδηλώσεων. Ο λόγος για τον οποίο συμμετέχω στον οργανισμό είναι γιατί έχει δώσει πραγματικά φωνή στους νέους της Κύπρου, φέρνοντας τους σε επαφή όχι μόνο με εκπροσώπους της κυπριακής κυβέρνησης, αλλά και με εκπροσώπους κυβερνήσεων άλλων κρατών, γεγονός μοναδικό και πολύτιμο. Δεσμεύομαι να δουλέψω και αυτή τη θητεία με σκοπό να προσφέρουμε ως οργανισμός ακόμα περισσότερες ευκαιρίες και εργαλεία στους νέους που ενδιαφέρονται για τη διπλωματία και τις διεθνείς σχέσεις, διοργανώνοντας ενδιαφέρουσες εκδηλώσεις.

My name is Constantina Katsantoni and I am a lawyer, graduate from the University of Athens and holder of a Master’s degree in Criminology and Socio-legal studies from the University of Manchester. At present, I work at a non-governmental organization for the support of refugees, while pursuing an LL.M in European Public Law and Human Rights at the University of Cyprus. I have been a member of the board of Cyprus Youth Diplomacy for over two years now, serving first as a Legal Advisor, while now serving the role of the Events Manager. I joined Cyprus Youth Diplomacy because I believe it has really offered great and valuable opportunities for the voices of young people to be heard, not only by the national authorities, but also by international stakeholders. I promise to work hard with our astonishing new board and members to bring young people even more interesting events and opportunities. Stay tuned!

Μαρίνα Νικολάου/ Marina Nikolaou  

Ονομάζομαι Μαρίνα Νικολάου και είμαι η Yπεύθυνη εκδηλώσεων του Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY. Έχω ολοκληρώσει προπτυχιακές σπουδές στο τμήμα Πολιτικών Επιστημών και Δημόσιας Διοίκησης του Εθνικού και Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, ενώ στην παρούσα φάση φοιτώ στο μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα Κοινωνικής και Πολιτικής Θεωρίας του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου. Το ενδιαφέρον μου για την διπλωματία, τις διεθνείς σχέσεις, την πολιτική, την κοινωνία και την φιλοσοφία παράλληλα με τον εθελοντισμό και κάθε προσπάθεια ενδυνάμωσης των νέων, αποτελούν τους λόγους εμπλοκής μου στον οργανισμό. Έχω εκπροσωπήσει το Cyprus Youth Diplomacy από το 2016 σε διάφορα συνέδρια, σεμινάρια και προσομοιώσεις στην Κύπρο και το εξωτερικό.

My name is Marina Nikolaou and I am the Events Officer of Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY. I am a graduate student in Political Science and Public Administration of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and at the moment I am a postgraduate student in Social and Political Theory in the University of Cyprus. My motivation for participation in the organization is because of my interest in the field of diplomacy, international relations, politics, sociology, philosophy and also in volunteering and youth empowerment. Since 2016 I have represented Cyprus Youth Diplomacy with my participation in various conferences, seminars and simulations in Cyprus and abroad.

Cyprus Youth Diplomacy supports and offers opportunities to young people through diplomacy world!

Νικόλας Ιερωνυμίδης/Nicolas Jeronymides

Ονομάζομαι Νικόλας Ιερωνυμίδης και είμαι o Υπεύθυνος Εκδηλώσεων του Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY. Είμαι φοιτητής του προγράμματος ΜΒΑ στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου. Έχω σπουδάσει Νομική στο Μπέρμινχαμ του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου και έχω κάνει επίσης μεταπτυχιακό στην Ευρωπαική Πολιτική στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου. Έχω εργαστεί για μικρό χρονικό διάστημα σε κάποια δικηγορικά γραφεία της Λάρνακας. Στο CyprusYouth DiplomaCY έχω ενεργό ρόλο από τον Αύγουστο του 2014. Ο κυριότερος λόγος που με ώθησε στο να εμπλακώ ενεργά στο Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY είναι το πάθος που έχω με τις διεθνείς σχέσεις και τη διπλωματία καθώς με τον τρόπο αυτό θα έχω άμεση επαφή με το αντικείμενο.

My name is Nicolas Jeronymides and I am the Εvents Officer of Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY. I am currently full – time student of the MBA programme at the University of Cyprus. I am 24 years old and currently live in Larnaka since 2013 when I graduated from school of Law in Birmingham, United Kingdom. I have also a master’s degree in European Politics from University of Cyprus. Since August 2014, I am an active member of Cyprus Youth Diplomacy holding the position of the Fundraising Officer. The most important reason for the decision of joining Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY is due to the fact that I have a passion for International Relations and Diplomacy. I strongly believe that Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY will give me the opportunity to live the experience of being a real diplomat and feel the power of diplomacy and International Relations.

Ονομάζομαι Ραφαέλα Χαραλάμπους και είμαι η υπεύθυνη εκδηλώσεων του Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY. Είμαι φοιτήτρια στο μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα Παγκοσμιοποίηση και Δίκαιο στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Μάαστριχτ. Έχω ολοκληρώσει προπτυχιακές σπουδές στη Νομική και μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στις Διεθνείς Σχέσεις στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου. Έχω ολοκληρώσει την άσκηση μου στη Νομική Υπηρεσία της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας και έχω εργαστεί ως ασκούμενη στην Αρχή Ηλεκτρισμού Κύπρου. Κίνητρο της συμμετοχής μου στο Cyprus Youth Diplomacy αποτελεί το πάθος μου για το διεθνές δίκαιο και τη διπλωματία.

My name is Rafaela Charalambous and I am the Events Officer of Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY. I am currently a graduate student of the Globalisation and Law Master’s programme at Maastricht University. I have previously completed a Bachelor of Law and a Master’s degree in International Relations at the University of Cyprus. I have completed my legal practice at the Law Office of the Republic of Cyprus and I have worked as legal trainee at the Electricity Authority of Cyprus. My participation in Cyprus Youth Diplomacy is motivated by my passion for international law and diplomacy.

Ονομάζομαι Γιώργος Χατζηπαυλής και στην ομάδα του Cyprus Youth Diplomacy έχω την θέση του Υπεύθυνου Εκδηλώσεων. Είμαι 20 ετών, κατάγομαι από την κατεχόμενη Αμμόχωστο και κατοικώ στην ελεύθερη Αμμόχωστο. Συμμερίζομαι το πάθος της υπόλοιπης ομάδα για την διπλωματία και τις διεθνείς σχέσεις και πιστεύω θερμά στις δυνατότητες της ενεργής νεολαίας, οι οποίοι είναι και οι λόγοι που επέλεξα να γίνω μέλος του Cyprus Youth Diplomacy και να θέσω υποψηφιότητα για το Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο. Στο παρελθόν συμμετείχα σε Προσομοιώσεις Ηνωμένων Εθνών ως συμμετέχοντας και Student Officer και είμαι ενεργό μέλος του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου Νέων. Επιπλέον προσπαθώ να είμαι ενεργός στον τομέα των ΜΚΟ στην Κύπρο και εκτός, αφού πιστεύω στην σημαντικότητα του ρόλο που διαδραματίζουν στον σωστό επανακαθορισμό των προτεραιοτήτων στην κοινωνία.

Στο Cyprus Youth Diplomacy βλέπω μια εξαιρετική προοπτική. Το προσωρινό ΔΣ έθεσε ένα τεράστιο όραμα ξεκινώντας με εξαιρετικά ενδιαφέρουσες δραστηριότητες και εκδηλώσεις που δεν έχουν επαναληφθεί από ΜΚΟ στην Κύπρο μέχρι στιγμής. Ελπίζω μαζί με τα μέλη μας να συνεχίσουμε με επιτυχία την διετία 2015-2017.

My name is George Hadjipavlis and I have taken the duties of the Events officer in the Cyprus Youth Diplomacy team. I am 20 years old and I reside in the free Famagusta district, although I trace my immediate family’s roots to the occupied part of the same district. Like the rest of the team I am an international relations and diplomacy enthusiast and I strongly believe in the capability of the active youth to bring change. These are the reasons for which I became a DCY member and applied for the board. In the past, I have participated in several Model United Nations conferences both as a delegate and as a Student officer and I am an active member of the European Youth Parliament. Furthermore, I try to be active in the NGO sector, both in Cyprus and abroad as I believe in the importance they play in positively redefining the society’s priorities.

I see great potential in DCY as an organisation and as a concept. The temporary board had set a huge vision by initiating several original and extremely interesting activities and events . I sincerely hope that with the support of our members we will keep up with the success for the 2015-2017 term.

Νικολέττα Νικολάου/Nikoleta Nikolaou

Ονομάζομαι Νικολέττα Νικολάου και είμαι η Υπεύθυνη Διοργάνωσης Εκδηλώσεων του Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY.  Eίμαι 23 ετών και είμαι δευτεροετής μεταπτυχιακή φοιτήτρια στο Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου στο τομέα των Πολιτικών επιστημών με κατεύθυνση τις Διεθνείς σχέσεις. Ωστόσο το υπόβαδρο μου διαφέρει, καθώς το πτυχίο μου είναι στη Διοίκηση Επιχειρήσεων στο Manchester Metropolitan University. Η ενασχόληση μου γύρω από την Διοίκηση Επιχειρήσεων σε συνδιασμό με άλλες μη-ακαδημαϊκές δραστηριότητες ήταν τα θεμέλια για να ασχοληθώ περαιτέρω με τις Διεθνείς σχέσεις σε ακαδημαϊκό επίπεδο. Ο ρόλος της πολιτικής επιστήμης στη καθημερονότητα μας είναι πολύ σημαντικός δεδομένου ότι είναι η βάση προκειμένου να μπορέσουμε να κατανοήσουμε και κατ’επέκταση να αντιμετωπίσουμε σημαντικά προβλήματα που επηρεάζουν τον κόσμο σε διεθνή αλλά και κρατικό επίπεδο. Έτσι προκειμένου να μπορέσω να κατανοήσω και να έρθω αντιμέτωπη με σημαντικά προβλήματα που επηρεάζουν την καθημερινότητα σε διεθνή και κρατικό επίπεδο αποφάσισα να συμμετάσχω στο National Model United Nations στη Νεα Υόρκη (2014). Η συμμετοχή μου στο συνέδριο μου έδωσε ίσως την πιο σημαντική εμπειρία, το να δρας σαν πραγματικός διπλωμάτης εφαρμόζοντας διάφορες πολιτικές αλλά και διπλωματικές στρατηγικές. Αυτο το μοναδικό αίσθημα της πρακτικής μορφής της Διπλωματίας ήταν το κίνητρο μου να υποστηρίξω αυτών των ΜΚΟ. Το Cyprus Youth DiplomaCYείναι η κινητήρια δύναμη των νέων διπλωματών της Κύπρου.

My name is Nikoleta Nikolaou and Ι am the Events’ Officer of Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY.  I am 23 years old and I am a current student at University of Cyprus as a Master student in the field of MA programme in Political science with specialization in International Relations. However, my background is a bit different as my undergraduate degree is BA (HONS) Business Management in Manchester Metropolitan University. I believe that the BA (HONS) Business Management undergraduate degree along with other non-academic activities acted as a foundation in making me realise that I want to continue towards a Master degree in MA Political Science.If I was asked to explain why I believe political science is a significant contributor in everyday life, my answer will be that the political science provides the backbone to understand and deal with major issues that affect our daily lives. Thus, in order to understand and deal with major issues that affect our daily lives I decided to participate in the National Model United Nations in NY, 2014. I was amazed because this conference gave me the opportunity to act like a true diplomat and also practice and gain so much diplomatic skills. That feeling of practising your diplomacy skills in a conference was my motivation to actually support the Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY. The Cyprus Youth DiplomacCY is the key to actually help youth diplomats to come closer to their goal….to feel and act like true Diplomats.
