Welcome to the website of Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY!

Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY is a Non-Governmental Organisation based in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. It has been operating since October 2014 and officially became a Non-Governmental, Non-Profit Organisation in May 2015.

The aim of the organisation is to motivate young people of Cyprus to become active citizens, engage in issues of diplomacy, international relations and politics, as well as to give them the opportunity to express their views to the decision-making centres of the Republic of Cyprus and become co-shapers of policy and especially of the foreign policy of our island!

Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY gives its members, aged 16 to 35 years old, the opportunity to participate in meetings with ministries, technocrats, foreign embassies and international organisations resident in the Repubic of Cyprus, to participate in events, conferences, and programmes organised periodically, debates, study visits, simulations of international organisations and missions abroad, with a special focus on diplomacy and international relations.

The three priorities set for this biennium (2023-2025) are:

  1. Digital diplomacy and global governance: challenges and opportunities in light of rising geopolitical developments
  2. Climate diplomacy and the role of Cyprus and the European Union for the enhancement of multilateral cooperation
  3. The role of youth in establishing peace and security in Cyprus and its broader neighbourhood.

All activities organised by the new Board for the biennium will serve the above-mentioned priorities, aiming for concrete results!

As the late United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan said,

« You are never too young to lead,
and we are never too old to learn »
Yours Sincerely, Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY
