Amalia Avraam

President

Amalia is a Trainee Lawyer. She holds a Law degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master’s degree in International Commercial Law from City University in London.

Since her high school years, Amalia has participated in European programs such as Erasmus+ “Together for a Green Europe.” Her main interests include diplomacy, international law, and human rights. At the age of 19, she completed an internship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specifically in the Cyprus Question and Turkey Department.

Among other things, she took part in the 4th Cyprus Youth Parliament, particularly in the Environmental Committee. She served as the Vice President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament of Cypriot Youth. She had the opportunity to participate in the “Youth Peace Camp 2023,” organised by the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, where young people from post-conflict countries participated. She is also involved in the program “Young Leaders United for Democracy,”supported by the European Union, representing the C.Y.C.O. Additionally, she participated in various activities of DCY, such as “EastMed Youth Ambassadors.”

Amalia envisions a peaceful Cyprus where diplomacy and progress thrive, always with the substantial contribution of young people as a driving force.
