The Board of Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY decided on the 30th of August 2017 to honour Ms. Ioanna Demosthenous by giving her the title of the  Honorary President of Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY, as an acknowledgement of her dedication and contribution to the establishment and function of the organisation since 2014.

Among the projects that Ms. Demosthenous designed and executed during her time as President of the Organisation (2014-2017) were, among others, “The Ambassador Series’ Project: Youth of Cyprus meet Ambassadors Accredited to the Republic of Cyprus”, the Publication of the “Manual with Basic Principles of the Law of the Sea” (June 2017) the organisation of a Seminar entitled “Basic Principles of the Law of the Sea”. Ms Demosthenous also envisioned and proposed the organisation of the  Project of the Youth Parliament of Cyprus that was co-organised by Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY and Cyprus Youth Council in 2016 and 2017.
