Stefanos Charalampous
Events Officer
Stefanos Charalampous is a trainee lawyer and has a special interest in energy law, international and EU law, competition law, EU business law με and company law.
Stefanos Charalampous has been a member of Cyprus Youth DiplomaCY since 2020. He is a graduate of the Department of Law of the University of Cyprus (UCY) (2019-2023), where he founded the University of Cyprus United Nations and European Union Club (2020) where he served as the President of the Club (2020-2023). He is also the founder of the University of Cyprus Model United Nations (UCYMUN) where he served as the Secretary-General (2021-2023).
From a young age he showed particular interest in public affairs, youth participation, international affairs and diplomacy. His love for the aforementioned led him to participate in over 20 international and national conferences, while he also represented Cyprus abroad. He has also served as a Student Ambassador of UCY (2021-2023) after his nomination from the Department of Law and the International Services Office of UCY, EPSO EU Careers Ambassador (2022-2023) following a nomination from the Career Center of UCY and EPSO, while he is also a UN Youth Champion for Environment and Peace (2022-present). In 2022 he was selected by the U.S. Embassy in Cyprus as a Youth Leader of Cyprus and represented Cyprus in the international program of Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) for Student Leaders from Europe which took place in Michigan State University in Michigan and the capital of the U.S.A, Washington D.C. He is an alumni of the U.S. Department of State (2022-present).
He believes that he is capable of contributing to the youth of Cyprus and hopes that he will be able to live up to his obligations as Events Officer.
